Semarang, 10 November 2025 – The Automation Engineering Technology (TRO) Study Program of the Vocational School, Universitas Diponegoro, reaffirmed its commitment to the World Class University (WCU) program by organizing an international online seminar titled “Machine Learning for Intelligent Industrial Systems.”

The event, held via Zoom Meeting, featured a distinguished speaker from Japan, Prof. Niken Prasasti Martono of the Tokyo University of Science, a prestigious institution ranked 801–850 in the QS World University Rankings 2026. The seminar began at 09.00 WIB and was opened by Luthfansyah Mochammad, S.Tr.T., M.T., serving as the Moderator and a lecturer in the Automation Engineering Technology Study Program.
The TRO Study Program places strong emphasis on robotics, artificial intelligence, and industrial automation as core areas in both academic learning and research. Therefore, the material presented by Prof. Niken—focusing on Machine Learning and Intelligent Industrial Systems—was highly relevant in supporting curriculum development and s trengthening research directions within the Vocational School.

The seminar, attended by 150 participants consisting of TRO students and lecturers, was conducted with great enthusiasm as Prof. Niken Prasasti Martono from the Tokyo University of Science delivered material on “Machine Learning for Intelligent Industrial Systems.” In her presentation, Prof. Niken highlighted the application of machine learning to enhance the intelligence of industrial systems, including production process optimization, failure prediction, and the integration of smart sensors in automated environments.
In addition to the main presentation, the event also served as a discussion forum between participants and the speaker, addressing advancements in AI-based industrial technology, challenges in implementing intelligent systems, and opportunities for research development in machine learning to support the future of industrial automation.
The event, which continued until 3:00 PM WIB, concluded with an online group photo session and the presentation of an e-certificate to the speaker. Through this Visiting Professor agenda, the Vocational School of UNDIP further strengthens its position and reputation on the international stage, aligning with Universitas Diponegoro’s efforts to achieve World Class University status.
