Semarang (3/11/2025) – The Automation Engineering Technology (TRO) Study Program of the Vocational School, Diponegoro University, once again held the “Alumni Success Stories” event virtually via Zoom Meeting on Monday, 3 November 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 WIB.

This activity is part of Diponegoro University’s World Class University (WCU) program, aimed at strengthening global collaboration, enhancing the quality of learning, and expanding students’ academic and professional networks through inspiring sessions with alumni and industry practitioners. The event was moderated by TRO lecturer Ahmad Ridlo Hanifudin Tahier, S.Si., M.Si., and attended by TRO students from various cohorts, particularly fresh graduates and those currently completing their final projects.

The session featured guest speaker Hafiz Al Bayani, S.Tr, a TRO alumnus from the 2018 cohort who currently serves as Senior Executive – General Support at Cordlife Indonesia (PT Cordlife Persada). In this inspiring sharing session, Hafiz recounted his career journey in the industry, starting from his early work in HVAC & Automation to his current role in operational management and general affairs. Before joining Cordlife Indonesia, Hafiz worked as a Product Senior Specialist Operating Theatre: HVAC & Automation at PT Indosopha Sakti, Mampang Prapatan, Jakarta. In that role, he was responsible for planning and configuring HVAC systems (including AHU calculations, ducting design, budgeting, and project implementation), as well as integrating automation systems through PLC programming and electrical control.

He also collaborated with the principal A2i in France on system design and technical consultation, while overseeing the installation of sterile HVAC systems for hospital operating rooms across various regions in Indonesia.

Currently at Cordlife Indonesia, Hafiz plays a key role in managing overall operational general affairs, ranging from facility and equipment maintenance, security and OHS supervision, to coordinating with government agencies regarding licensing and regulatory compliance. He also implements efficient solutions to ensure smooth and industry-standard company operations.During the session, Hafiz emphasized the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and curiosity when navigating the dynamics of the professional world. He also encouraged students to continuously strengthen both their technical and communication skills, as these competencies are essential when entering the industry.

“What you learn on campus is your foundation. But what keeps you going in the industry is the ability to keep learning and adapt to change,” Hafiz said.

The event received an enthusiastic response from participants, who actively asked questions about Hafiz’s industry experience, job interview tips, and how to prepare for challenges after graduation.

The “Alumni Success Stories” program has become a regular agenda of the TRO Study Program to connect students with alumni, strengthen professional networks, and provide real inspiration on the application of automation engineering in the industry — in line with Diponegoro University’s World Class University vision to produce excellent and globally competitive graduates.
