     Diponegoro University is the oldest state university in Central Java, as a university 
that has been established since 1957 and has been accredited A, Diponegoro University (Undip)
has a vision, mission, goals and strategic plans that are in line with the development of 
science and technology. One of the efforts made for the development of science and technology 
at Diponegoro University is by enriching and expanding educational and scientific fields in 
accordance with the latest technological developments. Based on Government Regulation Number:
52 of 2015 concerning Undip Statutes, Article 16 paragraph (1) states that Undip provides 
academic education, professional education and vocational education. For the implementation 
of the above government regulations and for their development, in 2016 Undip established a 
Vocational School based on the Decree of the Undip Chancellor No. 1250 / UN7.P / HK / 2016.
      
The Undip Vocational School accommodates all Diploma III Programs from various 
Faculties at Undip. To participate and face the development of information technology,
digital and automation as well as the high level of global competition marked by the 
industrial era 4.0, the development and improvement of the area of ​​expertise / specialization 
into a study program is a strategic step. Keeping up with the times, Undip took a policy 
through the Vocational School to open new study programs. After going through a very 
selective evaluation process, the Applied Undergraduate Study Program of Automation 
Engineering Technology,Diponegoro University Vocational School, obtained the operating 
permit from Diponegoro University, in accordance with Diponegoro University Rector Decree 
No. 178 / UN.7.P / HK / 2017 and followed by a decree on meeting the minimum requirements 
for accreditation from BAN-PT No.8 / SK / BAN-PT / min-Akred / Dpl-IV / III / 2019 for the 
newly established study program In the 2017/2018 academic year, the Automation Engineering 
Technology Study Program officially accepts new students for the first time through the 
Independent Exam admission path.
