
This activity was held in Thailand, to be precise at Event Hall 102-104 Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand on 2-6 February 2020. This activity was attended by universities, institutions, and the public and private sectors from various countries.
The initial selection was carried out by INNOPA (Indonesia Invention and Innovation Promotion Association) online by collecting files and abstracts of innovation products on December 20, 2019. Announcement of initial selection results was published on December 25, 2020. In the results of the selection, our innovation was entitled ACTER ( A Credible Tiny Tool For Firefighter’s Protection) passed the initial selection. The manufacturing of our tool was carried out for approximately 4 months to get the best results.
In this activity, Indonesia sent 86 teams, divided into youth categories as many as 31 teams and adult categories as many as 55 teams. The delegation from the Automation Engineering Technology Study Program of the Vocational School of Diponegoro University was a team consisting of 4 students. Our team (ACTER) consists of Affifah Qurota-A’yun (Chair), Ageng Rilla Aldonanda, Akbar Naufal Makarim and Nila Chairulnisa with the supervisor Mr Ari Bawono P, SSi. The delegation left for Thailand on January 30, 2020. Exhibition preparation was held on February 1, 2020, at event hall 102-104 Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand. Exhibition and judging activities for special awards were held for 4 days, starting from February 2-5, 2020. Meanwhile, main sales were scheduled for the first two days, namely February 2-3, 2020. Presentation of tools was carried out directly in front of the jury in each innovator’s booth with poster media and PowerPoint and video. Judging is carried out by 3 judges.

On February 6, the activity was continued with an awarding and closing ceremony. The awards given in the awarding activities include the Gold medal, Silver medal, Bronze medal, Special award, and Grand prize award. In this awarding activity, our team (ACTER) received an award in the form of a Bronze medal and a certificate is given directly by the NRCT. With the end of this activity, we hope that this experience can inspire other students to continue to innovate to create new technological innovations, as well as motivate other students to try and strive to make the name of the Vocational School of Diponegoro University, Semarang in the national and international arena.
