The Department of Industrial Technology at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) Vocational School successfully organized a Summer Course titled Alternative Technology as Response to Climate Change and Energy Sustainability from September 23 to 27, 2024. The program attracted students and professionals from various countries, both in-person and online, aiming to explore the role of alternative technologies in addressing climate change and supporting future energy sustainability.
Over five days, participants engaged in intensive activities, including lectures, workshops, and panel discussions. Topics covered ranged from renewable energy innovations such as solar and hydrogen energy to the development of sustainable manufacturing systems and green supply chain strategies. The participants also took part in industry visits to companies that have adopted eco-friendly technologies, offering real-world insights into sustainability practices.
The program was designed not only to provide technical knowledge but also to foster cross-cultural collaboration. Participants from diverse countries exchanged perspectives and innovative ideas to tackle global challenges. “We believe that solving climate change requires synergy between technology, knowledge, and international cooperation.
